President Trump hosts abortion survivor, pro-life activists at White House on Valentine’s Day

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 15, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Yesterday at the White House, President Trump hosted Melissa Ohden, a woman who survived a late-term abortion, and a six-year-old boy named Micah Pickering who was born at 22 weeks.

Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., pro-life activist Christina Marie Bennett, Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser – who briefed the president on the attendees – and Katie Shaw, a pro-life advocate with Down Syndrome, were also there. So were Pastor Paula White and the Alexander Family, whose adopted daughter Katharine was born opioid-dependant.

An Official White House photo shows meeting participants praying in the Roosevelt room.

Trump also engaged in a conference call with pro-life advocates. He referred to his State of the Union address in which he condemned not only New York’s new law that expanding abortions up to birth, but also Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, the Democrat who promoted infanticide of newborn babies during a radio interview.

Ohden survived a late-term abortion when her mother was seven months into her pregnancy. Later in life, Ohden found out that her young mother, who had been forced into the abortion, deeply regrets that she did little to save her baby’s life.

Democrats openly support infanticide and the media pretend conservatives are the problem...

Democrats just openly admitted that they support “aborting” children who are literally in the process of being born — or even after they are born — and now they’re denying it ever happened.

Democrats and liberal journalists have grown fond of using the term “gaslighting” over the last few years, and that’s a perfect description of what they’re trying to do now. Derived from a movie in which a husband manipulates his wife into believing she is delusional, “gaslighting” in this context refers to liberals’ efforts to manipulate the American people to believe Democrats didn’t really say they support killing babies while they’re being born.

In a sane media environment, there would be wall-to-wall coverage of the “Great Northam-Tran Infanticide Scandal.”

Ramping up for an election year, Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran thought she could energize her base by imitating her ultra-liberal counterparts in New York State. The left won a great “victory” in the Empire State when Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill lifting virtually all restrictions on abortion in the third trimester, right up to full term...

Sanders Is Right, Trump Was Chosen by God to Protect Religious Values

The Democrats and the mainstream media shouldn't be so quick to mock White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders for suggesting that President Trump was chosen by God to lead this country.

"I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that he wanted Donald Trump to become president, and that's why he's there," Sanders said in a recent interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network. "I think he has done a tremendous job in supporting a lot of the things that people of faith really care about."

Democrat Representative Ilhan Omar, for instance, tweeted that God must have "a strange sense of humor" if he wanted Donald Trump to be President, while her colleague, Rep. Ted Lieu, proclaimed that God is actually sending signals that President Trump should not run for reelection.

"I see that you now also speak for God," he tweeted. "Here's a tip. If you open your heart and eyes, it appears God is sending lots of signals that @realDonaldTrump should step down, or not run again."

Pastor Paula White Cain - Congress Must Pass Prison Reform Step One Act

First Step Act Review

"The First Step Act is a faith friendly bill allowing churches and organizations like Prison Fellowship equal access to inmates..."

Now that the holidays are over, I want to again thank God for the BI-PARTISAN passage of the First Step Act that we worked so hard and prayed for. This bill brings new life to hundreds of thousands of incarcerated individuals who need a second chance at life. So much of the First Step Act models the principles laid out in Scripture.

We’ve needed this bill for a long time. Good people do bad things and deserve a second lease on life. I believe we can be strong on crime and compassionate at the same time. The First Step Act accomplishes both. We know that one in three adult Americans have some sort of criminal record. We know we have two million Americans currently incarcerated. We also know 40% of  them will be rearrested within five years.

The First Step Act is a faith friendly bill allowing churches and organizations like Prison Fellowship equal access to inmates. It is also a family friendly bill that keeps inmates closer to their families and provides opportunities for incarcerated parents to stay connected with their children. But for the inmate, it is a future friendly bill with vocational training and crucial life skills training provided by faith organizations and other organizations that help inmates re-enter society.

Thank you for your prayers! Thank you for your support. On behalf of the thousands and thousands of Americans who will benefit with a second chance at life...THANK YOU!

"On this national day of mourning, we remember George H.W. Bush as he has finished his course (1924-2018). "I have seen firsthand that we cannot afford to ignore our fellow Americans in prison and the moral imperative to help guide them to a better life..."

When President Donald Trump ran on helping forgotten Americans, perhaps not everyone realized until his recent announcement supporting bipartisan criminal justice reform legislation that this included those who are most out of sight – people in prison. To be sure, those behind bars made poor choices. However, President Trump recognizes we all have an interest in making sure they return to society ready to be law-abiding, productive citizens.

Having organized prison ministry programs for many years, I have seen firsthand that we cannot afford to ignore our fellow Americans in prison and the moral imperative to help guide them to a better life. This does not mean naiveté about the existence of evil, including the fact that a small segment of people cannot be rehabilitated and should never be released. But just as Jesus sent his apostles to the remotest parts of the earth so the gospel might spread its light in all the world, we must act today to ensure our policies infuse hope into the darkest corners of our nation.

That’s why nearly 3,000 faith leaders have come together to support the First Step Act. The core of the legislation would help rebuild broken lives by providing incentives for federal prisoners to participate in rehabilitation programs that are proven to reduce recidivism. Just like in the real world where there is a connection between our deeds and how we are treated by others and the government, this provision of the Act will enable all but the most serious prisoners to earn time towards release to a halfway house by successfully completing treatment programs...

President Trump's Prison reform bill represents what’s beautiful about America...

This week, Pastor Paula, along with more than 2,200 evangelical pastors pledged their support for the FIRST STEP Act. If passed, that bill will represent the most sweeping reform to our criminal justice system in a generation. Their support should come as no surprise to anyone. Christians have a centuries-old mandate to care for prisoners, to visit them, and to care for their families. It’s as Christian as Christmas and Easter.

I am pleased to announce my support of President Donald J. Trump’s signed agreement with Mexico and Canada in the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). I support the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) as it will be a mutually beneficial win for North American farmers, ranchers, businesses, and workers.

Americans are the most compassionate and generous people on the planet and I believe when Americans prosper, the world becomes the beneficiary. The new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement will create more balanced, reciprocal trade that supports high-paying jobs for Americans and grows the North American economy.

All agreements over time need to be re-evaluated and adjusted and the 24 year old NAFTA needed to be replaced with the more America friendly USMCA. I am confident the prosperity that results from this new trade agreement will be used help the hurting around the world.

God bless America!

On Thanksgiving, Paula White offers insight on how Donald Trump's faith guides his actions as president...

Thanksgiving Day is a unique tradition when America sets aside one day in the year to stop our busy lives, reflect on our blessings, and give thanks to God as one nation and one people.

This year, especially, we have strong reminders of how blessed we are by God as a nation, and that He sometimes uses the unlikeliest of people to accomplish the greatest of things.

After all, it’s hard not to appreciate everything that’s going right for our country this year. And, while you might not be where you want to be this holiday season, you’re probably in a much better situation than you used to be. That meaningful difference is thanks to the leadership of President Trump, who is himself guided largely by faith...

Article by Pastor Paula White-Cain

When President Donald Trump ran on helping forgotten Americans, perhaps not everyone realized until his recent announcement supporting bipartisan criminal justice reform legislation that this included those who are most hidden in our society – people in prison.

Just like in the real world where there is a connection between our deeds and how we are treated by others and the government, this provision of the Act will enable all but the most serious prisoners to earn time towards release to a halfway house by successfully completing treatment programs.

Another provision of the First Step Act would outlaw the shackling of mothers giving birth in prison. While most Americans were surprised this occurred, I haven’t met anyone who thinks it should be allowed to continue. The sanctity of life does not end at the prison gates and just because someone committed a crime we should not strip them of their dignity inherent in being created in the image of God.

It is also partly because all people are unique and valuable that we must take care in making sentencing decisions to consider the specific facts of the case. The person’s life work, including both prior offenses and admirable conduct, must be accounted for so we don’t judge someone solely based on the worst day or moment of their life.

Yet an adherence to rigid mandatory minimum laws means that federal judges too often must impose a sentence that cannot be adjusted based the specific facts of the case. Fortunately, four modest but important sentencing reform provisions affecting nonviolent offenders are included in the Senate version of the First Step Act.

One case that would have been covered by these targeted sentencing provisions is that of Weldon Angelos. He was sentenced to 55 years in federal prison because he dealt marijuana while possessing an otherwise legal gun, even though he never used or even brandished it. In his case and countless others, federal judges, including many conservatives, lamented that they were left with no choice but to impose an unjust sentence in cases involving low-level drug offenders.

Even as we feel a moral command to ensure our criminal justice system reflects our values, it is important to remember that the First Step Act is not an article of faith, but based on proven results in states across the country. Indeed, it is red states most of all like Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina that have proven we can both cut crime and incarceration at the same time.

Part of their recipe for success was expanding proven rehabilitation programs, including those with a faith component, that change the way prisoners think so they develop empathy and focus on long-term goals rather than immediate gratification. The First Step Act invests $250 million over the next decade in such programs, but research suggests by reducing recidivism we will obtain a strong return on this investment.

Congress must act now to follow the President and many law enforcement organizations like the Fraternal Order of Police in supporting the First Step Act. Only by lifting up those who have been forgotten can we all end up in a better place.

Pastor Paula White-Cain - Article on Prison Reform Act
November 14, 2018

Paula White-Cain stands by President Trump's side as he announces introduction of his Prison Reform First Step Act...

Pastor Paula was in attendance at the White House to stand by in support of President Donald J. Trump as he called on Congress to take action and support the FIRST STEP Act, a bipartisan bill that will reform America’s prisons and improve our Nation’s criminal justice system.

“Our whole Nation benefits if former inmates are able to reenter society as productive, law-abiding citizens,” the President says.

One-in-three American adults today has some type of criminal record, and more than 2 million Americans are in prison—including 181,000 in Federal Penitentiaries. More than 95 percent of these inmates will eventually leave prison and face the challenge of restarting their lives. Among Federal inmates today, nearly 40 percent will be rearrested within five years of release.

That outcome helps no one. The FIRST STEP Act will make our communities safer by making our justice system work better in three key ways:
Provide incentives for low-risk inmates to receive crucial support services, including vocational training and faith-based programs to ease reentry

House more prisoners in facilities closer to their own communities, allowing for family visitation and greater local support

Roll back certain provisions of former President Clinton’s infamous crime law, reforming mandatory minimums that have led to racially discriminatory outcomes and increased prison overcrowding

Pastor Paula reveals that a letter written to Congressional leaders, and signed by more than 2000 evangelical pastors was delivered to the White House in support of the President Trump's Prison Reform "First Step" Act. This historic act will become the most significant effort at criminal justice reform to be passed in a generation. She proudly says, "I am so honored to work with people from all over on Prison Reform!"

Paul White Ministry provides vital recovery assistance at "Ground Zero" of destruction in aftermath of hurricane Michael...

The destruction of Hurricane Michael is catastrophic as whole communities from Panama City to Marianna and beyond were severally affected. Homes were ripped apart, trees uprooted, schools demolished, churches destroyed, and complete sections of beachfront property leveled. As power crews work around the clock to restore power, tens of thousands of residents of the Pan Handle are without electricity and water.

Paula White Ministries responded quickly and reached ground zero where the 155 miles per hour winds of Hurricane Michael hit landfall at Mexico Beach on October 10th. Pastor Paula immediately dispatched PWM Global Ministries Pastor Todd Lamphere to assess the damage, to assist churches with resources and to set up a distribution channel for survivors. Working with Florida's emergency center, the Salvation Army, Kids Against Hunger and Convoy of Hope, Paula White Ministries has connected churches in the hurricane zone with food, water, and much-needed tarps to distribute to their community. PWM secured 550,000 prepackaged meals that are headed to the gulf coast of Florida.

The recovery process will take a long time and as the rest of the country goes about its business, we cannot forget the people of the Pan Handle. As the body of Christ, we must come alongside our churches and Pastors as they meet the needs of their destroyed churches and homes while responding to the cries of the community.

There are three ways you can help the hurting from the hurricane; First, pray for the people and the churches as they attempt to get back on their feet. Second, Give generously to our special offering to assist churches and families in need. Third, consider heading to the Pan Handle of Florida and assist in the recovery process.

Paula White Ministries stays on the ground in North Carolina assisting in devastated regions during long-term recovery process in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence...

Finding strategic partners in devastated regions is critical for any long-term recovery process. Immediately after Hurricane Florence, Pastor Paula White was contacted by longtime ministry supporter and friend, Pastor Ron Barnes of Greater Hope International Church in Lumberton, NC. Partnering with Kids Against Hunger and Convoy of Hope, Paula White Ministries was able to secure over 600,000 prepackaged meals to the economically disadvantaged Lumberton area.

Pastor Barnes took the blessings he had received and then partnered with 15 different churches and organizations to distribute the donated resources. Hurricane Florence displaced thousands from their homes and many ended up in local shelters. Many people lost everything they had for the second time in just two years since Hurricane Matthew. "The gracious donations have allowed us to provide thousands of meals to those who did not know where their next meal would come from," Pastor Barnes said.

The faithful giving of Paula White Ministry partners continues to meet the needs of the hurting and to bring hope, healing, and salvation to those who desperately need it.

Paula White Ministries - Pastor Reveals President Trump Is Serious About His Faith
October 13, 2018

Pastor Paula White reveals that President Trump is very serious about his faith...

The Donald Trump that Florida evangelical minister Paula White sees is a good listener, a man who takes his faith seriously while not always being fluent in “Christianese” and, unlike so many of his predecessors, a politician who has kept his promises to faith voters and evangelical Christian groups after he won the presidency with the help of their votes.

“A lot of evangelicals have grown accustomed to feeling used by the political process,” Ms. White said in an interview at The Washington Times this week before heading to yet another White House meeting. “Every politician appeals to us, every one wants to hear us out during the campaign, but then things change once they get into office.”

Mr. Trump, she said, is “just different.”

“He genuinely listened to us, and he genuinely cared,” she said, recalling hours of closed-door spiritual sessions at Trump Tower that Mr. Trump held with a broad array of faith leaders as he weighed campaigns for the presidency in 2012 and 2016. “He wasn’t asking for an endorsement or a contribution. He was looking to hear the heartbeat of the faith community.”

Evangelical voters have proved an unlikely rock of the Trump coalition: More than 80 percent say they support the president. Ms. White said that support has been fully repaid by the administration’s record with the appointments of two Supreme Court justices and a slew of conservative lower-court judges as well as new Justice Department guidelines on religious expression, the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and the president’s executive order easing enforcement of rules restricting political speech from the pulpit.

“He has always been concerned that the voice of people of faith be heard,” she said. “He campaigned on it, and then he acted on it.”

On October 9 Pastor Paula convened over 130 Pastors from the state of Florida to the White House for a one-day listening session. Pastors from the 1-4 corridor came to the nation’s capital to discuss policies that affect the countries future and American’s way of life. Ministry leaders from many different denominations and organizations had the opportunity to ask representatives from the President’s administration questions ranging from health care, prison reform and reentry, education, the economy, and religious liberty.

The event featured seven agency Faith Directors that work closely with Pastor Paula who gave insight into the faith initiatives of each of their agencies. The ministry leaders were able to ask questions to the Directors of the Faith and Opportunity Initiative from HUD, FEMA and the Departments of Commerce, Agriculture, Education, Labor, and State. The event allowed the organizations represented to have a personal contact in case they needed assistance in funding or to navigate through governmental issues they are facing.

The event was highlighted by a visit from Vice President Pence who expressed the appreciation from the President and himself on the powerful effect ministries have on our communities, the prayers of God’s people for them and for Pastor Paula’s tireless efforts in bringing God’s people together at the White House.

The disadvantaged boys were elated at receiving the many donated new gifts ranging from toys to clothes - most of the children could not even carry their bounty of love by themselves. The highlight of the day was seeing every child receive the greatest gift given to man as the children prayed to ask Jesus to come into their hearts!

Paula White Ministries continues in its commitment to meet the needs of the hurricane-ravished island of Puerto Rico and to fulfill the Matthew 25 mandate to help the hurting for Christ Jesus. Pastor Paula thanks you in advance for your kind help in this arduous endeavor, your generous gift will not only help those less fortunate than yourself, but will reap rich rewards for the kingdom of heaven.

Pastor Paula on Jesus, Immigration, and Critics...

Last week, I did an interview with Christian Broadcasting Network describing my visit to a Health and Human Services grantee, Youth for Tomorrow, that does amazing work with unaccompanied immigrant minors. I did the interview to raise awareness amongst CBN's Christian audience for the heartbreaking crisis of child trafficking at our southern border. As just one example, an unthinkable 85% of children at Youth for Tomorrow are victims of human trafficking.

Sadly, instead of inspiring compassion, the interview became yet another unnecessary partisan distraction.

Pastor Paula Sponsors "Project Shine" for Refugee Children...

Pastor Paula participated in the Youth For Tomorrow (VA) Project Shine event, which she co-sponsored, for refugee children ranged from 10-17 years of age, including 55 boys and 49 girls (several of the teenage girls being cared for were pregnant). The faith community came together with Pastor Paula to provide compassionate aid to these refugee minors housed at the care center. Uniting together with leaders from several local ministries, Pastor Paula, participated in "Project Shine", a refugee mission initiative that provides refugee minors with a day of fun, enrichment and hope.

Throughout the day, Pastor Paula, showed forth the love of Jesus to these unfortunate children as she served as an active particpant in serving the children authentic Central American food catered in and gifting each child with a backpack filled with school supplies and a duffle bag stocked full of toiletry items, soccer shirts, socks and shorts. She also sponosored an exciting children's soccer clinic, complete with a soccer gift pack for participants. Most importantly of all, she hugged each child and spoke words of encouragement and God's love into each ear of every child there.

Pastor Paula recently co-sponsored and organized a "Project Shine" event at "His House Children's Home" (FL) , for refugee children ranging in age from 5-12 years old, many of whom are undersized for their age due to prior malnutrition. Throughout the exciting afternoon, the children were loved upon and joined in play by the many caring volunteers from Paula White Ministries and several local church organizations. The children were able to spend the afternoon carefree, playing for several hours in a massive inflatable water park set up just for them to enjoy. Paula White surprised the children as a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Truck pulled up to the water park playing delightful music. The children cheered as they surrounded the truck, which offered them unlimited ice cream flavors and yummy toppings. Suffice it to say, a copious quantity of smiling did abound on this day!

The director of "His House Childrens Home, Silvia Torres, had this to say about the event: "Dear Pastor Paula, You are such a great blessing! Thank you for all you did to coordinate the event. The children had the most amazing experience with the water slides, bounce house, face painting and yummy ice-cream from Ben and Jerry’s. It was an unforgettable time they will cherish forever. We are thankful for the amazing group of volunteers that came from Paula White Ministries to support and spend quality time with the children".

Pastor Paula Tours Migrant Children's Detainee Center...

Pastor Paula White, senior pastor of New Destiny Christian Center, in Apopka, Florida, and faith advisor to President Trump recently toured a facility of undocumented immigrants in Virginia. She related to CBN News at how she recognizes now that these centers are being falsely narrated in the mainsteam news media.

"The center was amazing," Pastor Paula said. "Not just three square meals, but psychiatric care, clinician, medical care, chapel, events, schooling, language, and love." White said this experience was life-changing. She said," If we are going to be compassionate. We have to have stricter border security and laws."

Pastor Paula wants people to understand that all of the children she met with at the facility had crossed the border without being accompanied by either a parent or guardian - in fact, they were being trafficked by criminals and owe a monetary debt to the border smugglers.

Pastor Paula further related that she has commissioned her church members team to sponsor and volunteer for more faith-based events for the children. "We are bringing backpacks, school supplies, just showing them the love of Christ," said White. White is also working with other churches, to get them involved in this complex issue.

On June 1st, Pastor Paula White-Cain arrived in La Perla, Puerto Rico and teamed up with the local Teen Challenge, going out in the streets and door to door within this community of extreme poverty, rampant drug use, and criminal activity, handing out hot meals, sharing the love of Christ and ministering the healing power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Paula laid hands on the sick and hurting residents of La Perla, while delivering the salvation message to all that would listen.

On Saturday, June 2nd, Pastor Paula delivered an inspirational message of hope to a full house at the inaugural Sparkle Woman’s Conference in Puerto Rico. Her message of becoming a world changer for Christ resonated with all in attendance, but none more than with the 120 female inmates that were bused in from the local prison. God moved in a mighty way with many decisions made to accept and follow Christ.
